Public Interest Capitalism Research Division - Recognizing the inherent deficiencies of shareholder centrism, the Foundation's Public Interest Capitalism Research Division is working to develop a theoretical framework that facilitates the alignment of capitalist economic institutions with the public interest and supports sustainable prosperity. Alliance Forum Foundation Development Programme (AFDP) Division - AFDP is working to implement innovative initiatives in developing countries to support independent and sustainable development. These initiatives include the Spirulina Project, bracNet project, and activities to nurture a new generation of microfinance professionals.

World Alliance Forum Zambia held on May 26th 2010

On May 26th 2010 the Alliance Forum Foundation held the World Alliance Forum Zambia at the University of Zambia (UNZA) in Lusaka. The forum focused on creating new partnerships between the Japanese private sector and the Republic of Zambia. This event lasted from 4pm to 6pm on the campus of UNZA and included a formal inauguration ceremony for the launch of an advanced, real-time distance learning system connecting UNZA and Copperbelt University located 400 kilometers to the north of the forum.

The seven week course is intended for Microfinance Institution (MFI) managers, donors, funders with a microfinance portfolio, and students seeking careers in microfinance. It provides a practical  curriculum of the management of microfinance and it will be grounded in the experience of Bangladesh.
