  • 2012年5月、沖縄県で開催された「AFDP太平洋島嶼国首脳・CEOサミット」では、事業活動により得られた利益の一部を地域社会へ還元する「公益資本主義」の理念に基づく「DEFTA-bracNetモデル」など、持続可能なビジネスモデルが提示されました。さらに、島嶼国特有の地理的特性や現地に根ざした信頼性・勤勉性を踏まえ、漁業、通信、海水淡水化、エネルギー、鉱物資源開発、観光等の幅広い分野における投資および協力の可能性について、多角的な検討が行われました。
