2018 WAF Tokyo

Theme: "Public Interest Capitalism" - a corporate governance system that is ahead of the West

In light of the 2017 WAF Tokyo, the Alliance Forum Foundation has begun full-scale efforts such as amending the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act to abolish the obligation to disclose quarterly financial results, amending the Companies Act to focus on mid- to long-term shareholders, and establishing an ROC.

In addition to concrete actions toward these 2018 policy recommendations, the essence of ESG and the SDGs will be thoroughly discussed from the perspective of public interest capitalism.
