allianceforum related

Date : Thursday and Friday, 6-7, November 2014
  • Location : Mission Bay Conference Center at UCSF (San Francisco, California)
  • This year’s Conference focuses on the clinical application of stem cell research. The goal is to build a broad public consensus for stem cell research and regenerative medicine and above all to support the nascent industry so that actual therapies could be delivered to patients throughout the world.
The Conference will be led by internationally recognized figures working primarily in the Bay Area and Japan. The program offers not only compelling keynote speeches and panel discussions led by cutting-edge researchers but also business presentations by corporations at the forefront of this exciting development. The conference provides an exciting and unique opportunity to learn and discuss the latest progress in stem cell research as well as to interact with the speakers and participants.

The main speakers for the conference are internationally recognized researchers in the field, including Dr. Shinya Yamanaka, the 2012 Nobel Prize laureate (Kyoto University), Dr. Hiromitsu Nakauchi (Tokyo University/Stanford University), Dr. Hideyuki Okano (Keio University), Dr. Yoshiki Sawa (Osaka University), Dr. Maria-Grazia Roncarolo (Stanford University), Dr. Deepak Srivastava (Gladstone Institutes, UCSF), Dr. Regis B. Kelly (California Institute of Quantitative Bioscience, UCSF), Dr. Thea Tlsty (University of California, San Francisco). In addition to these researchers, businesses ranging from Big Pharma to well-established stem-cell companies in the later stages of clinical trials with excellent data will participate in the conference. We also look forward to the participation of regulators, rare disease philanthropists, and patient advocates so that a diverse range of stakeholders will be represented.
The Conference is always in the San Francisco Bay Area, the center of biomedical development in the US. It attracts leading researchers and business people in regenerative medicine from across the Pacific.
